Professional Background
The 2016-2017 school year is my ninth year in education and my fourth year at Pemberville Elementary. Previously, I taught second and third grade multiage at Field Elementary in Fostoria and first and second grade looping at Riley Elementary in Fostoria. Prior to teaching at Fostoria, I taught fourth grade at Imagine Community School in Toledo.
I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2007 with a degree in Early Childhood Studies. I also received my master's degree in reading from Bowling Green State University in 2014. In addition, I have a bachelor's degree from BGSU in political science, and prior to becoming a teacher, I spent a few years owning and operating a clothing store. |

Personal Background
I live outside of Wayne with my husband Matt. We have three children: Katie, who is eleven and in the sixth grade at Eastwood Middle School; Wyatt, who is eight and in fourth grade at Pemberville Elementary; and Lauren, who is four and in preschool at the Montessori School of Bowling Green. Matt works for the Wood County Auditor's Office and for the family farm.
Although most of my free time is spent with my kids, I love reading and working with any kind of technology, particularly pictures and movies. I am also a huge sports fan. I have competed in triathlons, races and am an avid cross-fit athlete. I love playing softball, swimming and watching all kinds of sports. |
